Agenda - Week of November 2-6, 2020

Monday, November 2
Hey everyone,

Today we did a Zoom with The Royal Tyrrell Museum! We observed fossils and saw photos of animals (like crocodiles). We also saw a huge fossil of a pig that was big like a rhinoceros, and a skull of a huge crocodile. For math we spoke about Tens Estimation and how to make 10. During PE we played "Bouge si" and "Pizza." During French we spoke about Remembrance Day and everyone created poppies and leaves with our hands, then we wrote about why we wear poppies. We also changed our seats :)

Some reminders - Next Wednesday, November 11th, is Remembrance Day so there will not be school.

Have a good day,
Room 105

Dear parents, Today we did math with Tens Estimation. During Science, Gr. 3s finished their rock cycles, and Gr. 4s continued drawing and writing about their kaleidoscopes. In the morning, we created monuments to respect Indigenous people who participated in the wars. We observed the real monument that is in Ottawa. Also in the morning, we practiced writing fantastic/funny sentences and we shared them with our friends. During PE we played "What time is it Mr. Wolf?" but by jumping by tens. During Music we had a practice for our Music test. Reminders - Send in any photos of family members who are Veterans. There will not be school next Wednesday, November 11 for Remembrance Day. Bye! Friday, November 6
Hey there, This morning we finished our monuments and Mme Smyth showed us how to create folders and documents in Google Drive. Some people started to type their paragraphs. Also today during English, we read more of our book about peace. Almost the whole class finished writing about them. For math, first we did some addition problems with a secret message, then we continued writing our estimation stories. We were super quick in the coatroom today - the quickest we've been this year: 47 seconds!! Reminders - Next Wednesday there will not be school because it is Remembrance Day. Sunday, November 8th is National Aboriginal Veterans Day. Have a good weekend, Room 105
