Agenda - Week of November 23-27, 2020

Monday, November 23
Dear parents, 

This morning we did Music where we played "fast or slow" while listening to music, then after we did some writing. We also did writing (with letter formation) and typing on Typing Club - we had two groups and changed activities. Also we did French where we had the "Mixed up Word" (but we didn't find out the word!! The letters are sepigaperants). This afternoon we did reading centres and DPA in the classroom ("Run the red carpet" and "Melt"). Some people finished up typing their monument writing. 

Reminders - The Virtual Book Fair will end this Thursday, November 26. Our Virtual Celebration of Learning will be this Wednesday, November 25.

Tuesday, November 24
Hey everyone, 

Today during PE we created paths using different movements. We did math where we did a problem with shapes, and also Mme showed us a new subtraction strategy - rounding the smallest (which is somewhat like the "give and take" strategy). Also we read "The Wild Robot" in English. Also we did English with Ms. Miller. During Social Studies we observed flags of the world. For French we finished some work.

Reminders - Tomorrow a new student will be coming! Tomorrow evening will be our Learning Celebration. The Virtual Book Fair will end this Thursday, November 26.

Wednesday, November 25
Oki, 

Today we did math with shapes and addition and subtraction. Also we practiced our Learning Celebration in English. We also did Social Studies with flags where we wrote what we observed. Also a new student has joined our class, who is called Cole! We are really excited to have him in our class. This afternoon we had a meeting with Saa'kokoto on Skype! He shared some stories about the land.

Reminders - This evening will be our Celebration of Learning! Tomorrow is our last day to order books in the Virtual Book Fair. Don't forget to bring your library books to change them tomorrow.

Thursday, November 26
Hey there, 

Today we did a project with Mrs. Gainor. It was to create our own flags that go together in a quilt to show how we are all unique. The whole school will participate by creating a square for the blanket. During PE we played a game from Mrs. Gainor by hopping.

Reminders - Tomorrow is a short day. The Virtual Book Fair ends this evening.

Friday, November 27
Hey friends, 

Today we created virtual visual journals with Google Slides to organize our work on our computers. We also created a title page. As well, we did some math problems (the puzzle and a game). Also we read a bit of "The Wild Robot" in English and we designed products to help Roz to live better on the island.

Reminders - Next week will be virtual school conferences! Thursday, December 4 will be an early dismissal day and Friday, December 5 there will be no school.

Agenda - Week of November 2-6, 2020

Monday, November 2 Hey everyone, Today we did a Zoom with The Royal Tyrrell Museum! We observed fossils and saw photos of animals (like crocodiles). We also saw a huge fossil of a pig that was big like a rhinoceros, and a skull of a huge crocodile. For math we spoke about Tens Estimation and how to make 10. During PE we played "Bouge si" and "Pizza." During French we spoke about Remembrance Day and everyone created poppies and leaves with our hands, then we wrote about why we wear poppies. We also changed our seats :) Some reminders - Next Wednesday, November 11th, is Remembrance Day so there will not be school.
