Agenda - Week of November 23-27, 2020

Monday, November 23 Dear parents,  This morning we did Music where we played "fast or slow" while listening to music, then after we did some writing. We also did writing (with letter formation) and typing on Typing Club - we had two groups and changed activities. Also we did French where we had the "Mixed up Word" (but we didn't find out the word!! The letters are sepigaperants). This afternoon we did reading centres and DPA in the classroom ("Run the red carpet" and "Melt"). Some people finished up typing their monument writing.  Reminders - The Virtual Book Fair will end this Thursday, November 26. Our Virtual Celebration of Learning will be this Wednesday, November 25. Agenda - Week of November 16-19, 2020

Monday, November 16, 2020 Hey,  This morning we did Math where we practiced vertical addition. Also, we did Science where we researched our questions about rocks/minerals and light/shadow. Ciara did a presentation about her visit to Canmore and Banff. During English/Art we continued our book covers of the book "The Wild Robot." Reminders - Fun Snack is this Thursday. There will not be school this Friday. The virtual Book Fair ends November 26th. In the morning, we did science presentations - the Grade 4s presented information about light/shadows and the Grade 3s about rocks/minerals. We had  a fire drill as well and we did great - truly! Agenda - Week of November 9-13, 2020

Monday, November 9 Dear parents, This afternoon we did something new called Reading Centres (with groups A to F). The centres are silent reading, partner reading, listening to a story, and reading with Mme Smyth. Also we coloured poppies for Indigenous Veterans. We reviewed our books of peace in English by sharing them with another group. Reminders - There will be no school this Wednesday because it is Remembrance Day.  See you tomorrow,  Room 105 _________________________________________________________________ Tuesday, November 10 Dear parents,  Today we had a virtual assembly for Remembrance Day. Each class contributed to a video and we all watched it this morning. Also we worked hard on the computers today to created folder and documents in Google Drive. During PE we created pathways with obstacles using snow. Reminders - There will not be school tomorrow as it is Remembrance Day. Don't forget to honour all participants of war tomorrow. Tuscany School Remembrance Day Tributes 2020

Dear Parents, This year for Remembrance Day, although we were unable to join together physically, we worked to create a Virtual Assembly with/for the whole school. Students from all classes engaged in meaningful explorations and activities to honour all those who participated in wars over the years. Agenda - Week of November 2-6, 2020

Monday, November 2 Hey everyone, Today we did a Zoom with The Royal Tyrrell Museum! We observed fossils and saw photos of animals (like crocodiles). We also saw a huge fossil of a pig that was big like a rhinoceros, and a skull of a huge crocodile. For math we spoke about Tens Estimation and how to make 10. During PE we played "Bouge si" and "Pizza." During French we spoke about Remembrance Day and everyone created poppies and leaves with our hands, then we wrote about why we wear poppies. We also changed our seats :) Some reminders - Next Wednesday, November 11th, is Remembrance Day so there will not be school.
