Agenda - Week of October 19-23, 2020

Monday, October 19
Dear parents, 

Today we did art with water - we added water to the leaves that we drew with watercolour pencil crayons. During Science, the Grade 3s did an experiment with hot water and salt to grow crystals. The Grade 4s did some work about light on the computers. Also, for French we had the question of the day "What is your goal?" and we organized some of our school materials in a box. 

Reminders - Bring music packs, headphones/earbuds, bags for the coatroom, and forms.

Tuesday, October 20
Hello parents,

Today we did DPA where we did Go Noodle in our classroom. Also, we did math - Gr.3s did a quiz on the computer and Gr.4s did some practice with the math textbooks.

Reminders - Bring in the 4 things from our list. The trainers tomorrow will be Kate and Claire.

Wednesday, October 21
Hello parents, 

Today for English we read a bit of Fatty Legs and wrote words to describe Margaret. Also, today is "Take Me Outside" day, so we went outside to celebrate with math games, listening to a story, and playing Camouflage. Also, we did French (Gr.3s did SLA reading on the computers and Gr.4s wrote about our Image of the Day where we had a choice of four). For PE we had Claire and Kate for trainers and we played "Among Us" in the gym.

Reminders - Bring your library books if you want to change them tomorrow. Bring your photo order forms before November 2nd.

Thursday, October 22
Hello, how are you?

We did PE today with the trainers Emma W and Anastasia. During English we finished Chapter 7 of Fatty Legs and Margaret got to go back home! During French we spoke about punctuation (exclamation marks, periods, and question marks). We also did a "mixed-up word" which was "personnes." We requested books from the library as well, and if you did not bring your books back today you can bring them tomorrow. For math, Mme gave us a revision of big numbers.

Reminders - Bring back photo order forms and digital citizenship forms. Tomorrow is a short day.

Friday, October 23
Dear parents, 

Today during math we did a number square where we had to find combinations of three numbers that equalled 10. During English we finished reading our book Fatty Legs. Also, Gr.4s created kaleidoscopes and Gr.3s discussed quality of life. 

Reminders - Next Thursday is our Halloween celebration with our pumpkin patch and costumes! We will have a visit to the coulee next Tuesday. We do not have school next Friday.

Monday, November 23 Dear parents,  This morning we did Music where we played "fast or slow" while listening to music, then after we did some writing. We also did writing (with letter formation) and typing on Typing Club - we had two groups and changed activities. This afternoon we did reading centres and DPA in the classroom ("Run the red carpet" and "Melt"). Agenda - Week of October 26-29, 2020

Monday, October 26 Hello parents, This afternoon we did PE with Sierra and Sarah as trainers. They taught "Ninja." We played an expression game. During the morning, we did French where we played "Mystery Word," and Music where we played with our music packs, we had a test, and we did some patterns. During English we talked about reconciliation. Reminders - This Thursday we have our Pumpkin Patch. Tomorrow is our coulee visit. There is no school this Friday! This afternoon we went to the Coulee! Agenda - Week of November 2-6, 2020

Monday, November 2 Hey everyone, Today we did a Zoom with The Royal Tyrrell Museum! We observed fossils and saw photos of animals (like crocodiles). We also saw a huge fossil of a pig that was big like a rhinoceros, and a skull of a huge crocodile. For math we spoke about Tens Estimation and how to make 10. During PE we played "Bouge si" and "Pizza." During French we spoke about Remembrance Day and everyone created poppies and leaves with our hands, then we wrote about why we wear poppies. We also changed our seats :) Some reminders - Next Wednesday, November 11th, is Remembrance Day so there will not be school.
