Agenda - Week of October 5-8, 2020

Monday, October 5
Dear parents, 

This morning we did a bit of math and a bit of French. This afternoon we visited the coulee with Saa'kokoto. He spoke about how plants are like the hair of Na'a (Mother Earth). He also played a trick on us - he said to close our eyes and he sang a song "to make the grass grow," but it was really a lullaby and the whole class was so relaxed that we almost fell asleep! It was a great day.

Reminders - Photo day this Wednesday, no school this Friday or next Monday

Tuesday, October 6
Oki, 

Today we did an art project with leaves and autumn colours. Also we did math with Mr. Jorgensen. Some people ordered books from the library. During PE we continued our plans for being class trainers. We did French with the "Question of the Day" which was "How can you be a good friend?" We also continued Fatty Legs in English.

Reminders - Tomorrow is picture day, and no school this Friday or next Monday.

Wednesday, October 7
Hey, 

Today we enjoyed English, photo day, French, PE, silent reading, Wonder Centres, Music with Ms. Grose, and math. For the photos we made a line, like in our attendance, in the gym. The person taking photos told us to take our masks off. 

Reminders - No school Friday or Monday. Tomorrow is a regular day. Bring your music pack and your headphones/earbuds. If you'd like, you can change your library book each Thursday.

Thursday, October 8
Dear Parents, 

Today our favourite activities were math where we did comparing numbers, Wonder Centres of the land, English where we read chapter 4 and part of chapter 5 of "Fatty Legs," writing where we had the question "What are you thankful for?" and we wrote words in turkey feathers to give thanks.

Reminders - There is no school for the next 4 days (so tomorrow or Monday), bring headphones/earbuds and music packs, bring your Digital Citizenship forms.

Monday, November 23 Dear parents,  This morning we did Music where we played "fast or slow" while listening to music, then after we did some writing. We also did writing (with letter formation) and typing on Typing Club - we had two groups and changed activities. Also we did French where we had the "Mixed up Word" (but we didn't find out the word!! The letters are sepigaperants). This afternoon we did reading centres and DPA in the classroom ("Run the red carpet" and "Melt"). Agenda - Week of October 26-29, 2020

Monday, October 26 Hello parents, This afternoon we did PE with Sierra and Sarah as trainers. They taught "Ninja." We played an expression game. During the morning, we did French where we played "Mystery Word," and Music where we played with our music packs, we had a test, and we did some patterns. During English we talked about reconciliation. Reminders - This Thursday we have our Pumpkin Patch. Tomorrow is our coulee visit. There is no school this Friday! This afternoon we went to the Coulee! Grade 4s took photos to observe the Coulee using a list of things to look for.  Grade 3s also used the iPads to take photos, and they collected soil samples from different places. Agenda - Week of November 2-6, 2020

Monday, November 2 Hey everyone, Today we did a Zoom with The Royal Tyrrell Museum! We observed fossils and saw photos of animals (like crocodiles). We also saw a huge fossil of a pig that was big like a rhinoceros, and a skull of a huge crocodile. For math we spoke about Tens Estimation and how to make 10. During PE we played "Bouge si" and "Pizza." During French we spoke about Remembrance Day and everyone created poppies and leaves with our hands, then we wrote about why we wear poppies. We also changed our seats :) Some reminders - Next Wednesday, November 11th, is Remembrance Day so there will not be school.
