Agenda - Week of December 7-11, 2020

Monday, December 7
Hey everyone, 

Today our favourite activities were:
- Math for Grade 3 where we created increasing patterns with our 100s charts and then we played the "counting to 100 game."
- Math for Grade 4 where we made increasing patterns using inukshuks with rocks (small and large). We also practiced using the math textbook.
- Writing where we did image of the day with paragraphs. We chose an image, then we planned the topic, details, and conclusion to write a paragraph.
- The project where we worked in a group to answer questions about a city using a website, then we compared our list with another group.

Reminders - "Fun Snack" is this Friday. Bring a plain mask tomorrow to decorate.

Tuesday, December 8
Hello and hey parents, 

Today we did math and the Grade 3s did some games - it was really fun. The Grade 4s did some textbook questions. During PE we went to the far-away playground and Mme said to not just play, but to create some obstacle courses. For our Community Project we did some work on the computers. We rejoined our City Research groups and created a Google Slide about our knowledge of the city (all we know and what we want to know). 

Reminders - "Fun Snack" this Friday.

Wednesday, December 9
Hello everyone, 

Today we created websites for our cities that we will be researching. We also decorated our celebration masks and took videos for our Winter Celebration. During question of the day we spoke and wrote about our favourite celebrations and traditions using paragraphs. For PE we continued obstacle courses on the playground.

Reminders - Bring your library books back to exchange tomorrow (if you'd like). Fun Snack will be this Friday.

Dear parents, 

Today some of our favourite activities were:
- Music with Ms. S
- Typing on the computers
- Walking during DPA
- Observations of artifacts of our communities

Friday, December 11
Dear parents, 

Today we made decorations and we will put them on the windows for our Winter Celebration. Also, during English we read a bit of the Wild Robot and also did some surveys about a Spirit Day and songs of celebration. We also did math with the puzzle of the day with unknown numbers where we searched for a pattern. Then, Kate did a presentation.

Reminders - Wear festive clothing all next week. Thursday will be the last day before the break and it will be Pyjama Day.

Monday, November 23 Dear parents,  This morning we did Music where we played "fast or slow" while listening to music, then after we did some writing. We also did writing (with letter formation) and typing on Typing Club - we had two groups and changed activities. Also we did French where we had the "Mixed up Word" (but we didn't find out the word!! The letters are sepigaperants). This afternoon we did reading centres and DPA in the classroom ("Run the red carpet" and "Melt"). Agenda - Week of October 26-29, 2020

Monday, October 26 Hello parents, This afternoon we did PE with Sierra and Sarah as trainers. They taught "Ninja." We played an expression game. During the morning, we did French where we played "Mystery Word," and Music where we played with our music packs, we had a test, and we did some patterns. During English we talked about reconciliation. Reminders - This Thursday we have our Pumpkin Patch. Tomorrow is our coulee visit. There is no school this Friday! This afternoon we went to the Coulee! Grade 4s took photos to observe the Coulee using a list of things to look for.  Grade 3s also used the iPads to take photos, and they collected soil samples from different places. Agenda - Week of November 2-6, 2020

Monday, November 2 Hey everyone, Today we did a Zoom with The Royal Tyrrell Museum! We observed fossils and saw photos of animals (like crocodiles). We also saw a huge fossil of a pig that was big like a rhinoceros, and a skull of a huge crocodile. For math we spoke about Tens Estimation and how to make 10. During PE we played "Bouge si" and "Pizza." During French we spoke about Remembrance Day and everyone created poppies and leaves with our hands, then we wrote about why we wear poppies. We also changed our seats :) Some reminders - Next Wednesday, November 11th, is Remembrance Day so there will not be school.
