Agenda - Week of January 11-15, 2021

Monday, January 11
Hey there everyone,

Today for math we talked about the axe of symmetry for Grade 4 and Grade 3s did work about polygons. For Social Studies we worked on our websites of our communities where we started some research. We also did PE - during PE we did some exercises and yoga. 

Reminders - Return your library books for Thursday (and your other belongings for the classroom). This Thursday is Pyjama Day!

Tuesday, January 12
Hello everyone, 

Today we read The Wild Robot in French and in English. In the book, Brightbill learned how to swim and he also met a friend, Chitchat the squirrel who speaks very quickly! During math today, Grade 4 had a page where they had to use the axis of symmetry to draw shapes. Grade 3 used computers for their Virtual Journals to make a table to sort shapes.

Reminders - Pyjama Day this Thursday.

Wednesday, January 13
Hey, 

Today we did typing. We also did writing with letter formation. During lunch we had to stay in the classroom because it was too windy and slippery. During Music we listened to music from John Williams - he wrote the music for Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Jaws, Saving Private Ryan, etc.

Reminders - Tomorrow is Pyjama Day (do not bring stuffies), don't forget your winter clothes, bring your library books tomorrow, bring a bag for the coatroom.

Thursday, January 14
Dear parents, 

Today for science we wrote 3 questions about our animals and we wrote what we know already. We like PE with the fitness activities, and Wonderful Words which are like vocabulary centres. Also, we learned how to observe and analyze art - we observed 6 works of art and spoke about the composition and the meaning for each.

Reminders - Don't forget your bag for the coatroom. Tomorrow we will have 3 people sharing: Arsheen, Jayda, and Emma R.

Today our favourite activities were:
- Art (during Math and while analyzing works of art).
- The whole-school project for Mr. Jorgensen.
- Outdoor recess.

Monday, November 23 Dear parents,  This morning we did Music where we played "fast or slow" while listening to music, then after we did some writing. We also did writing (with letter formation) and typing on Typing Club - we had two groups and changed activities. Agenda - Week of October 26-29, 2020

Monday, October 26 Hello parents, This afternoon we did PE with Sierra and Sarah as trainers. They taught "Ninja." We played an expression game. During the morning, we did French where we played "Mystery Word," and Music where we played with our music packs, we had a test, and we did some patterns. During English we talked about reconciliation. Reminders - This Thursday we have our Pumpkin Patch. Tomorrow is our coulee visit. There is no school this Friday! This afternoon we went to the Coulee! Grade 4s took photos to observe the Coulee using a list of things to look for.  Grade 3s also used the iPads to take photos, and they collected soil samples from different places. Agenda - Week of November 2-6, 2020

Monday, November 2 Hey everyone, Today we did a Zoom with The Royal Tyrrell Museum! We observed fossils and saw photos of animals (like crocodiles). We also saw a huge fossil of a pig that was big like a rhinoceros, and a skull of a huge crocodile. For math we spoke about Tens Estimation and how to make 10. During PE we played "Bouge si" and "Pizza." During French we spoke about Remembrance Day and everyone created poppies and leaves with our hands, then we wrote about why we wear poppies. We also changed our seats :) Some reminders - Next Wednesday, November 11th, is Remembrance Day so there will not be school.
