Agenda - Week of February 1-5, 2021

Monday, February 1
Hey there, 

Today we went snowshoeing around the soccer field. We also had two new students join our class (Salman and Ryan) who returned from the HUB online school. Today for Music we used the handbells for the first time.

Reminders - Carnaval is this week and next week! Where plaid clothing, toques, and special sashes for Carnaval. Bring ice blocks for the ice sculpture.

Tuesday, February 2
Hello, 

This morning we did an art project. We put our Zentangle on a painting that we made with the colours of the flag of our region. This is called a mixed media artwork. We also did recess with sliders on Soccer Field B in the snow. We have new partners for our city websites and we need to research things that the other groups added and write about what they found and what is missing.

Reminders - For Carnaval, bring ice blocks (any day). This Thursday, bring spoons to play along with a presentation.

Wednesday, February 3
Dear parents, 

Today we learned about the Quebec Carnival and we wrote postcards to explain it. Also we had a presentation (like a virtual field trip) about electricity and wind power. Also, there was a lot of snow and we played "What time is it Mr. Wolf?" which was a bit tricky.

Reminders - Bring two spoons tomorrow (that are the same size!). Bring a block of ice. Bring Home Reading Books to exchange them tomorrow.

Thursday, February 4
Hey everyone, 

This morning we had the Folklofolie presentation! It was excellent with music and dance for Carnaval, and we played the spoons too. Then, in the afternoon we used snowshoes in the snow. Also, we changed our Home Reading books and some people requested library books. 

Reminders - Don't forget to do at least one activity for the Home Reading Journal this week.

Friday, February 5
Dear parents, 

Today we did an art project with a lot of different materials. Also, we played a math game called SCOOT! There were sheets of paper around the class with images, and we had to write multiplication equations for each one. Also, we used the large blue sleds outside! Mme pulled a lot of students and a few pulled her too!

Reminders - Next week there will be no school on Thursday and Friday (11th & 12th). It is still Carnaval so were your Carnaval clothing and bring an ice block for the palace.

Monday, November 23 Dear parents,  This morning we did Music where we played "fast or slow" while listening to music, then after we did some writing. We also did writing (with letter formation) and typing on Typing Club - we had two groups and changed activities. Agenda - Week of October 26-29, 2020

Monday, October 26 Hello parents, This afternoon we did PE with Sierra and Sarah as trainers. They taught "Ninja." We played an expression game. During the morning, we did French where we played "Mystery Word," and Music where we played with our music packs, we had a test, and we did some patterns. During English we talked about reconciliation. Reminders - This Thursday we have our Pumpkin Patch. Tomorrow is our coulee visit. There is no school this Friday! This afternoon we went to the Coulee! Grade 4s took photos to observe the Coulee using a list of things to look for.  Grade 3s also used the iPads to take photos, and they collected soil samples from different places. Agenda - Week of November 2-6, 2020

Monday, November 2 Hey everyone, Today we did a Zoom with The Royal Tyrrell Museum! We observed fossils and saw photos of animals (like crocodiles). We also saw a huge fossil of a pig that was big like a rhinoceros, and a skull of a huge crocodile. For math we spoke about Tens Estimation and how to make 10. During PE we played "Bouge si" and "Pizza." During French we spoke about Remembrance Day and everyone created poppies and leaves with our hands, then we wrote about why we wear poppies. We also changed our seats :) Some reminders - Next Wednesday, November 11th, is Remembrance Day so there will not be school.
