Agenda - Week on April 19-23, 2021

Monday, April 19
Dear parents, 

Today, our favourite activities were:
  • Art - drawing character faces.
  • Social Studies - exploring cultural stories from our communities.
  • PE where we learned to shoot basketballs.
  • Math where we did division with multiplication which is called inverse operations.
Reminders - Bring your books to exchange them on Thursday. Next Monday there is no school (PD Day).

Tuesday, April 20
Hello parents, 

Today we Science where we added more to our machines for the animals and the ideal ecosystems. Also we did DPA and we learned how to throw and pass basketballs. We also did French to finish up "Wonderful Words."
Reminders - Return all school books this Thursday to exchange them. Wear blue and green this Thursday for Earth Day!

Wednesday, April 21
Hello and hey all parents, 

Today we did English where we created posters for the schoolyard clean up that we are organizing. We also did math where we wrote our own word problems with division. Today for French we saw and started the new activities for Wonderful Words.

Reminders - Bring back school books TOMORROW! Wear blue and green tomorrow for Earth Day. No school Monday the 26th.

Thursday, April 22
Hello, 

Today we put our posters in the hallways and listened to some of The Wild Robot Escapes. Also we did math where we practiced division with remainders. We played with basketballs and practiced how to throw and pass them outside. We also exchanged our library and Home Reading books.

Reminders - Sharers tomorrow will be Kaden and Salman. Tomorrow will be a short day and there will be no school on Monday.

Friday, April 23
Hello parents, 

Today we did Math where we did a little game with dice like Bingo with division. Also Kaden shared about the Second World War. For Science we did our ecosystem projects and we have almost finished the projects. We read a bit of "The Wild Robot Escapes."

Reminders - No school next Monday! Wear comfortable/appropriate clothes for Hip Hop dance next week.

Monday, November 23 Dear parents,  This morning we did Music where we played "fast or slow" while listening to music, then after we did some writing. We also did writing (with letter formation) and typing on Typing Club - we had two groups and changed activities. Also we did French where we had the "Mixed up Word" (but we didn't find out the word!! The letters are sepigaperants). This afternoon we did reading centres and DPA in the classroom ("Run the red carpet" and "Melt"). Agenda - Week of October 26-29, 2020

Monday, October 26 Hello parents, This afternoon we did PE with Sierra and Sarah as trainers. They taught "Ninja." We played an expression game. During the morning, we did French where we played "Mystery Word," and Music where we played with our music packs, we had a test, and we did some patterns. During English we talked about reconciliation. Reminders - This Thursday we have our Pumpkin Patch. Tomorrow is our coulee visit. There is no school this Friday! This afternoon we went to the Coulee! Grade 4s took photos to observe the Coulee using a list of things to look for.  Grade 3s also used the iPads to take photos, and they collected soil samples from different places. Agenda - Week of November 2-6, 2020

Monday, November 2 Hey everyone, Today we did a Zoom with The Royal Tyrrell Museum! We observed fossils and saw photos of animals (like crocodiles). We also saw a huge fossil of a pig that was big like a rhinoceros, and a skull of a huge crocodile. For math we spoke about Tens Estimation and how to make 10. During PE we played "Bouge si" and "Pizza." During French we spoke about Remembrance Day and everyone created poppies and leaves with our hands, then we wrote about why we wear poppies. We also changed our seats :) Some reminders - Next Wednesday, November 11th, is Remembrance Day so there will not be school.
