Dear Parents, Thanks to all for the support with our Pumpkin Patch celebration yesterday. The students were truly engrossed in all the designs from across the school and the magical nature of the whole field of pumpkins. Monday, October 26 Hello parents, This afternoon we did PE with Sierra and Sarah as trainers. They taught "Ninja." We played an expression game. During the morning, we did French where we played "Mystery Word," and Music where we played with our music packs, we had a test, and we did some patterns. During English we talked about reconciliation. Reminders - This Thursday we have our Pumpkin Patch. Tomorrow is our coulee visit. There is no school this Friday! This afternoon we went to the Coulee! Grade 4s took photos to observe the Coulee using a list of things to look for.  Grade 3s also used the iPads to take photos, and they collected soil samples from different places. Monday, October 19 Dear parents,  Today we did art with water - we added water to the leaves that we drew with watercolour pencil crayons. During Science, the Grade 3s did an experiment with hot water and salt to grow crystals. The Grade 4s did some work about light on the computers. Tuesday, October 13 Hello to all parents, Today during PE, the trainers were Tristan and Jack, and their game was "What time is it Mr./Ms. Wolf?" We did math with increasing and decreasing numbers. We started our last Wonder Centres. Reminders - Bring your "Digital Citizenship" forms, headphones/earbuds (in a labelled bag), and music packs. Also, we finished Chapter 5 of "Fatty Legs" where we learned that the teachers told the students to write an untrue letter saying that the children enjoyed school and that they never wanted to go home and that the teachers were very kind. Monday, October 5 Dear parents,  This morning we did a bit of math and a bit of French. This afternoon we visited the coulee with Saa'kokoto. He spoke about how plants are like the hair of Na'a (Mother Earth). He also played a trick on us - he said to close our eyes and he sang a song "to make the grass grow," but it was really a lullaby and the whole class was so relaxed that we almost fell asleep! It was a great day. Monday, September 28 Hello to all parents, We played the game Pizza today. We talked about the "Colour Wheel," which is a circle with primary, secondary, and tertiary colours. Also for English, Mme Smyth gave us personal dictionaries (Words! Words! Words!) and we wrote some unknown words (words that we don't yet know). We did our Wonder Centres.
