Monday, December 14 Hey there, Today we read the Wild Robot in English - Roz learned how to be a mother. We also did art where we learned three line drawing techniques - hatching, cross-hatching, and pointillism. Afterward, Mme gave us a paper to draw nature of Alberta to camouflage animals. Reminders - Wear celebration clothing tomorrow. Thursday will be a pyjama day. There will not be school this Friday! We watched four videos that had almost all the teachers from the school in them. For DPA we walked around the school to look at all the decorated windows of the school. Monday, December 7 Hey everyone,  Today our favourite activities were: - Math for Grade 3 where we created increasing patterns with our 100s charts and then we played the "counting to 100 game." - Math for Grade 4 where we made increasing patterns using inukshuks with rocks (small and large). We also practiced using the math textbook. - Writing where we did image of the day with paragraphs. We chose an image, then we planned the topic, details, and conclusion to write a paragraph. - The project where we worked in a group to answer questions about a city using a website, then we compared our list with another group. Reminders - "Fun Snack" is this Friday. Bring a plain mask tomorrow to decorate. Monday, November 30 Oki, Today we did French where we watched a video about texts, and we read some texts and counted the words, sentences, lines, and paragraphs that were in the text. Jayda had her personal presentation and she showed a video from when she visited Fantasyland in Edmonton. We also did English where we read "The Wild Robot," and the robot met some other animals in the forest at their meeting. They were speaking about Roz. During PE we played the game "On the line, Off the line." For Social Studies we started researching our flags. During Math we played a partner game using 100s charts and a secret number. Monday, November 23 Dear parents,  This morning we did Music where we played "fast or slow" while listening to music, then after we did some writing. We also did writing (with letter formation) and typing on Typing Club - we had two groups and changed activities. Also we did French where we had the "Mixed up Word" (but we didn't find out the word!! The letters are sepigaperants). This afternoon we did reading centres and DPA in the classroom ("Run the red carpet" and "Melt"). Monday, November 16, 2020 Hey,  This morning we did Math where we practiced vertical addition. Also, we did Science where we researched our questions about rocks/minerals and light/shadow. Monday, November 9 Dear parents, This afternoon we did something new called Reading Centres (with groups A to F). The centres are silent reading, partner reading, listening to a story, and reading with Mme Smyth. Also we coloured poppies for Indigenous Veterans. We reviewed our books of peace in English by sharing them with another group.
