Agenda - Week of June 14-18, 2021

Tuesday, June 15 Hello,  Today we did Wonderful Words and we changed our activities. We also did math for how to read a calendar. We also did Social Studies where we also changed partners. Grade 4 did HS. Reminders - HS continues tomorrow and Friday. Fun snack this Friday. Also Math with fractions. Monday, June 7 Dear parents,  Today we started centres for Wonderful Words and there are some interesting activities about our Science topics. Then, we also started a secret project to say farewell to an important person in our school ;) In the afternoon we did reading, we played outside in the wind, and we listened to some of The Wild Robot Escapes. Monday, May 31 Hello,  Today for Science we planted flowers (sunflowers) and tomatoes. Also Grade 3s shared their knowledge about hearing and sound and wrote questions about what they wanted to know. For math we practiced how to measure area of shapes. During PE we went outside and practiced how to pass soccer balls.  Reminders - Bring a water bottle, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen this week. Tuesday, May 25 Dear parents,  Today we did a game called "The Ball of Energy" and we played ukuleles. We took photos of our science projects and some people in the class got to take home the science projects. We almost finished The Wild Robot Escapes. Reminders - There are only 4 days this week. Monday, May 3 Hello,  Today we did math where we did more with 3D shapes. We also finished our stories about the Earth. During oral presentations, Ryan shared about his cats, and Sierra and Jayda did bonus presentations. Sierra share a presentation about "night plants," and Jayda shared a presentation about Ramadan. We also has Golden Time, and we did English where we read more of The Wild Robot Escapes. During PE we played with balls and scoops. Monday, March 8 Hello,  Today we did a multiplication BINGO game to practice multiplication facts. Also, we had a meeting with Saa'kokoto. He spoke about the role of animals in the lives of indigenous people in the past (in particular dogs, horses, and bison). During the afternoon, we spoke about International Women's Day and why it is important to fight for equality. After we went outside to play with hockey sticks by creating sequences of sound and movement.  Reminders - Thursday will be a short day and there will be no school on Friday. Read-a-thon! Valentine's Update

Hello lovely families of Room 105! As per COVID-19 safety protocols, and a whole-school safety measure, we are not allowing the sharing of any Valentine's this year at school.  We will instead be creating large collective displays in our hallways to spread kindness, respect, positivity, and love for all of our friends in our school community.  Thank you for understanding and respecting this measure we are taking to keep everyone in our Tuscany family safe and healthy!  💖 Mme Smyth
